Clinedinst, defendant…divorce a vinculo matrimonii on the grounds of willful desertion and abandonment…that the defendant, Anna L. Clinedinst’s last known post office address, 502 Wheatly Ave., Beverly Burlington County, New Jersey is a non resident of this state…

    The Shenandoah County 4-H Club Council held its first regular meeting of the year. Donnie Smith from the Meem’s Valley Club was elected as President with the other officers as follows: Luther Zirkle, NM Club, Vice President; Larry Click, Hudson Cross Road Club, 2nd Vice President; Anna Mae Walker, St. Luke-Saumsville Club, Secretary; Regena Rau, ,Wesley Chapel Club, Reporter; Hope Miller, Jerome Club, Assistant Reporter; Mrs. Florine F. Getz, County 4-H All Star, Treasurer; Frankie Lineweaver of the Central Club, Recreational Leader; Jean Boyer of the Fort Valley Club, Assistant Recreational Leader; Doris Lineweaver, of the St. Luke-Saumsville Club, Song Leader; Mrs. David Good Sr. of the Meems Valley Club, Girls’ Advisor; Clarence Zirkle of the New Market Club, boys’ advisor.

    Mt. Jackson Boys Club. Officers were named Thursday night at the fire hall. Club officers were Douglas Steadman, president; Carroll Estep, vice president; Randall Craig, secretary; Richard Hottel, treasurer; Allen Hawkins, sergeant at arms; Joseph Estep, assistant sergeant at arms.

    Shortly before noon on Saturday, fire broke out in the Nelson Theatre building located on Main Street in Mt. Jackson causing folks to the front lobby of the Nelson theatre, mezzanine, stairway and balcony, also to the two adjacent stores in the same building, Marston’s appliances and the Kelley Variety Store. It was a few days over eight years ago March 8, 1947, when the Nelson Theatre was gutted by fire with nothing left standing, except the four walls. Mr. Nelson rebuilt the theatre immediately after the fire.

    Miss Sally Zea, 17 year old blue eyed blonde daughter of Mrs. Frances Zea of Strasburg, was recently selected as Miss Strasburg and will vie for the Miss Shenandoah Valley title in New Market.
