“You know, there’s something about a beauty contest that makes a person, man or woman, girl or boy, want to come back for more. It’s probably because seldom is such feminine pulchritude at one time in one place for all spectators to see and the Woodstock Lions Club’s fifth annual beauty contest is the best place for you to come and sit down, relax and look, look, look. It has been said that a stolen look is worth a long look. But here you can take several long looks at 35 of the most beautiful and most beautifully dressed young girls in the Woodstock area and enjoy a grand show at the same time. Miss Woodstock 1958 will represent this county seat in the annual Apple Blossom Festival.
