Burman L. Lucas

     Burman Lee Lucas, 93, of Quicksburg died Thursday, Feb. 2 at Life Care Center of New Market.

     He was born Dec. 28, 1923 in Page County, son of the late Ausby and Mary Cubbage Lucas. He was the husband of the late Dana Whitmer Lucas.

     Mr. Lucas was a retired meat cutter with Shen Valley Meat Packers of Timberville. He was a member of Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church, Stanley.

     Surviving are  three sons, Wayne Lucas of New Market, Tommy Lucas and David Lucas, both of Quicksburg; two daughters, Shirley Campbell of Strasburg and Dawn Racey of Woodstock; two sisters, Geneva Dinges of Stanley and Hattie Short of Broadway; brother, Lloyd Lucas of Grottoes; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

     Burial will be at Mt. Jackson Cemetery at a later date.
