Burdette Foltz, 86, of Edinburg died Tuesday, March 28.
Mr. Foltz was born Aug. 20, 1930 at Bowman’s Crossing, son of the late Alton Carroll and Mary Irene Pence Foltz.
He was a 1950 graduate of Edinburg High School and an army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an auctioneer, co-owner of Foltz, Inc. and a farmer. Mr. Foltz was formerly employed with Safeway, a truck driver and a Shenandoah County deputy sheriff. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Mt. Jackson and Woodstock American Legion Post #199 and Edinburg VFW Post #2447.
He is survived by his wife, Meta Walter Foltz whom he married on Nov. 3, 1957; two sons, G.B. Foltz and Joe Foltz of Edinburg; one sister, Peggy Keller of Toms Brook; three step brothers, Larry, Nelson and Gene Keller; and four grandchildren.
