The Edinburg Graded School was located high atop the hill on the town’s north end. A long set of steps leading to the hilltop, steps students of the school always used, are still in place although the school closed in 1933 when a new school was built on the west side of town. In those days, Shenandoah County schools offered 11 years of instruction, seven grades and four years of high school. This postcard, including a photo of the old school, is 100 years old. |
