The Old Academy at the Woodstock Presbyterian Church (right) was built before 1817 and operated for many years with the help of the community’s most outstanding educators. The Presbyterian Church bought the building in 1880 and removed the second floor and converted it into a Sunday school and lecture hall. It was torn down in 1903 to create a site for the Sidney Parkins Laughlin Memorial Chapel. |
