The Toms Brook Beavers finished their 1955 season in second place of the District L standings with a 4-4 record in league play. Carl Cook scored 290 points to lead the team on offensive. Other scorers were Leon Rosenberger, 148; Frankie Whittington, 117; Robert Windle, 71; Ernst Bowers, 57; Jimmie Peer, 8; Richard Rhodes, 2; Donald Hamrick, 2; J.B. Crabill, 1 and James Ruby, 1. Also on the team were Loy Gochenour, William Dodson, Jerry Fisher, Raymond Bowman and Denny Seal. The Beavers lost to Woodstock’s Blue Devils twice during the regular season, but beat them, 48-35 in the tournament before falling to Mt. Jackson, 53-34 for the championship.
