Decades before the Town of Woodstock assumed ownership of the old Woodstock school on Locust Street with plans to renovate it into government offices on the hill west of town, these 20 students together studied, sang, played ball games and staged comedies or dramas. The Class of 1928 that graduated almost 91 years ago included (top row, from left) Doras Davis, Elaine Hupp, William O’Flaherty, Thelma Richard and Stanford Shultz; (second row) Mary Miller, Charles French, Edna Richman, Alton Marston and Audry Barr; (third row) Lee Wilkins, Beatrice Beydler, Luther Bauserman, Estaline Funk and Fred Burner, and (bottom row) Mabel Burner, Stanley Rhinehart, Evelyn Sager, Aquilla Bowers and Dorothy Wright. Milton Hollingsworth was principal.
