The rooftop of this old house is visible today to northbound passersby at the I-81 overpass at Narrow Passage Creek, north of Edinburg. The house, believed to have been build about 140 years ago, was last occupied by James W. Sheetz, an agnostic, who reportedly professed faith in God only after predicting his own death at age 72. Old photos are needed to continue this series. Persons willing to loan old pictures, particularly those of local landmarks, are asked to provide them to The Free Press. Photos loaned will be promptly returned. |
