Riverheads clobbers Stonewall

Generals score first, but never again
Posted 2018-10-04 By LARRY BEAZLEY

Few things went Stonewall Jackson’s way in the Generals’ game at home Friday night against Riverheads.

The Generals fumbled four times, losing the ball twice, had a pass intercepted for a touchdown and had two punts blocked on the way to a 65-7 loss.

Riverheads amassed 435 yards of offense, 354 of them on the ground. The Gladiators’ quarterback, Justin McWorter, completed three of five passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Riverheads led 65-7 at the half and played its reserves through most of the rest of the game.

Stonewall Jackson’s only touchdown came in the first period on a 67-yard pass from Austin Ritchie to Logan Ritchie. William McCourt’s kick for the point-after touchdown was good.

After that, it was all Riverheads.

The Generals fell to 0-5 for the season.
